Do cross stitch patterns that are uploaded have to be purchased by the person uploading them or can I share patterns I have gotten off the other websites?
Yes you can upload your own patterns, scanned, repaint, if you use a programm xds or pm4. From other websites it is allowed, but from some are forbidden. Here is a link, so you can see wich designers. http://www.pindiy.com/thread-161469-1-1.html
There is no program called xds. There is Pattern Maker v.4 (a couple of different versions) abbreviated PM4, and there is PCStitch (several versions), abbreviated PCS.
