Any tips on how to better embroider faces for stuffed animals?

Im new to amigurumi and I feel rusty when it comes to embroidering faces. It doesnt come naturally or easily to me, and the result is fine, but I feel like its holding back my otherwise good crochet work. Does anybody have any tips for better facial embroidery?
