ch – chain
sc – single crochet

NOTE
When you need to decrease: make Invisible Decrease crochet stitches to have a better result.
The size of the octopus will vary, depending on the yarn used.

HEAD AND BODY
Rnd 1: sc 8 into a magic ring [8]
Rnd 2: inc in each st around [16]
Rnd 3: (sc in next st, inc in next st) repeat 8 times [24]
Rnd 4: (sc in next 2 st, inc in next st) repeat 8 times [32]
Rnd 5: sc in each st around [32]
Rnd 6: (sc in next 3 st, inc in next st) repeat 8 times [40]
Rnds 7-13 (7 rnds): sc in each st around [40]
Rnd 14: (sc in next 3 st, dec) repeat 8 times [32]
Rnd 15: sc in each st around [32]
If you use safety eyes, insert the eyes between rnds 11 & 12, 7 st apart.
Start stuffing the head firmly, adding more as you go.
Rnd 16: BLO, (sc in next 2 st, dec) repeat 8 times [24]
Rnd 17: (sc in next st, dec) repeat 8 times [16]
Rnd 18: dec 8 times [8]
Fasten off and close the remaining st.
LIMBS
With head facing downwards, working in front loops of rnd 15, insert the crochet to the first st and take the green yarn.
Ch 17, starting in the 3rd ch from hook, 1 dc in each ch across until the end of ch (15 dc), skip 2 st on the rnd 15, sl st (we have done the first limb), * sl st, ch 17, ), starting in the 3rd ch from hook, 1 dc in each ch across until the end of ch (15 dc), skip 2 st on the rnd 15, sl st * repeat 7 times. At the end we have 8 limbs.
Fasten off, weaving in ends
