Most of the time, what you are posting are limited time free patterns. They are not free forever. There is a thread here that reports them all and for how long they will be free.

Anyone can add to the thread. It only takes a minute.


If you post always free patterns, I leave the word free on the title. Do you understand this concept now?

Dont forget that for every "free" pattern you post on this site is another 20 coins for you. Stop misleading the members and follow the rules.

i dont have an account on ravelry and can see the free charts like this, so i wonder why she remo ...

Im a very very newbie.   I joined around Thanksgiving.  Lost the site and was trying to translate a chinese pattern I got off of facebook and ended up here again.  

1. This site is not easy to come across.   Facebook, Ribblr, Ko-fi, and Ravelry are all easy for newbies to find.   reddit patterns were a little more difficult to realize shared patterns.

2.I probably wasted coins on some free patterns here.  As I was too lazy to look elsewhere.  (Including my own hoard of patterns off facebook groups)  

They arent ripping anyone off.  I have not paid any money anywhere.  Just my time.   

I do get annoyed when I click on a pattern thats says free and it isnt.   The, I read someones comment that a pattern can be 10 coins and still listed as free.   But the patterns Im seeing had 50 coin to buy.  which I decided OH well I dont need that pattern anyway.  
AND It wasnt your pattern.   I dont get why any say free and then arent.  
And if they dont want to loose my interest they should make getting coins easier.  Once Im out of coins I dont need to browse the posts looking for patterns.

Im sorry you feel ripped off.   Please hang around here more.   This pales in comparison to the fighting Ive seen on facebook crochet groups.   
But, You are right that for ravelry so this site might not be for everyone and that is why there is ravelry.  We can get patterns there and socialize here?  <3

The issue is not the price on this site (it is not against the rules to charge, 10gc max, for a free pattern).
The issue is putting "free" in the title of an upload, when the pattern is only free in ravelry for a limited time.
This makes it impossible to distinguish free patterns here in this site.
We want to be able to tell if a pattern is free, paid for, or other.

Ive already figured out 2 things.   I cant correct my profile and birthdate if I fat fingered it.  
I cant delete my account if I need to start over or find this is not a perfect fit for me.  

Like a Mouse in a tunnel, I am scouring the site.   
...I dont know who the actual creators are.   :-/
