hey does anyone have good tips to make crochet dolls stand on their own? i've been wanting to make some anime characters in amigurumi and i don't want to use those wood bases bc they have pointy/sharp wires and since i sell my amigurumis, i don't want to ever be in trouble because someone, specially a kid, got hurt bc of something i sold. i thought about using hot glue on the feet to make it more stable, adding maybe some small object to add weight to the feet (idk what tho), but havent tested those yet. if anyone has experience with this topic i'd love to know ur ideas :)

Hello :) I think that little weights placed in the legs may help. You can try poli pellets, micro glass beads or little weights used for fishing. I wouldn't recommend rice or beans as they could get moldy if whashed :)

Ohh you make a point. I was thinking about beans but yeah, definitely if it's for sale that wouldn't work.  Details Reply Post time 2025-1-15 23:36

Maybe you could use clean rocks? Like those pebbles that are used for floral decor Marbles would be a clean option but they may break  Details Reply Post time 2025-1-17 00:17
