What kind of helpful things you use while stitching? Do you use pad or paper? What makes your stitching easier?

Hello :) I don't stitch but I can say that while knitting I like to use an old notebook to write down the rows I completed, while as I crochet I find it simpler to count each row or stitches (as I've been doing crochet for longer I'm better at "reading" my work). I know there are similar apps that can help as well as manual row counters. To each their own :)
Thanks for your question and happy crafting!

I used to use paper charts and cross off the stitches I'd completed (in pencil so I could erase if I had to unpick).  Now my projects are PM4 or PCS colour charts printed as pdf on my tablet. I have to repaint a lot, but I like seeing the exact shade I'm stitching.

Now that I'm getting older I use a magnifying head set to see easier.  I also make a working copy of chart and highlight what I've finished

Using a neck light or any kind of reading light makes it a lot easier to see what I'm working on.

If I'm using a paper pattern, a highlighter is a must. If I'm using a book, I just have to try to keep track even if it means I stitch something up in an odd manner. I'm quite good at reading my crochet but sometimes I use a counter or make a note of where I left over/where to pick up as I'm terrible for starting something then putting it down for a few months. I probably should try to keep all these notes in one place...good question though! Hope some more people will chime in. :D

Hello! I'm a knitter.
I used to print the patterns and mark them with highlighters or pencils, but now, I copy the pdf file on my phone, and do the same digitally.
I have my instructions everywhere.
