Hi ! I'm also new on the forum so I can't really help about how it works, but there are so many patterns to chose from, so my advice for a beginner would be to start with a pattern that caugh your eye. Don't be afraid to try something you are not sure about, there are a lot of resources available to learn new techniques or new stitches, you can try them on scrap yarn if needed, and you can always ask someone for help here I think :). Doing a project you love is very rewarding, even if it is difficult. But limiting yourself to easy, beginner patterns will not make you progress. Hope this helps !
