Knitting without "specimens"; the modern book of school knitting and crochet by Ellen P. Claydon & C.A. Claydon - 1915. A very big book - 218 pages & full of patterns. I was surprised to find several doll knitting patterns included along with the usual garment patterns for babies/children/adults. The book appears to be primarily knitting patterns although crochet techniques are illustrated. I did find at least 2 patterns near the end of the book for crochet edgings. A book fulof garment/accessory, etc. patterns - I did not see any "stitch patterns" outside the garment patterns like many of these old books have.
