Giving gold coins for thread replies

Ive been lucky enough to receive gold coins from users (NOT the website posting reward) when they thank me for commenting/replying to their threads, but I cant find out how I can do this myself.  Please help.

To set reply reward click on Reply Awards on the bottom of the the new post screen. See picture.
There you can decide the amount of  gold coins,and for how many replies you will give.
