Deleted patterns in Cross stitch Patterns Scanned

Hi, I've noticed that a hundred of patterns from the section Cross stitch Patterns Scanned have been missing (deleted) in the last two days... What is the reason for this?

I'd rather keep the so called poor quality than not have the charts available at all personally.
Be careful what you wish for if the complainers get their way.

Has someone from one of the threads complaining that scan quality isn't good enough for them, been mass reporting the threads maybe?

It appears recently that a bunch of people have found the site and are deliberately disrupting it, complaining because they don't understand file types  or how to get pins.  Apparently a long established site like this needs a fast track to meet the needs of these impatient people or they'll stamp their feet and claim problems that no-one else has had previously.

Unfortunately, I don't know which patterns are missing now. I just noticed that the total number has decreased by several pages. I haven't heard anything about the people who complain either. It's a pity if that's really the case.

Most likely the very old patterns that were uploaded are poor quality. I have been here a very long time and have to admit that quite a few I downloaded many years ago are not clear they are blurry and some cannot be used. If you notice the mods put a note on the them stating the images are doable but if a better scan is uploaded this will be deleted..something like that.

Before technology increased to pdf and repaint patterns that the designers are using a lot of files here were scanned on a scanner and uploaded with jpeg images that were not clear added to rar files and published.

People want nice clear scans and I do agree a lot are bad here.

Many changes to the forum has happened since I have been here.

Cleaning up the forum is good.

Agree, but I also found some completely unreadable. But not in the amount to delete a hundred..
Everything is relative. Replacing it with good quality when it appears, seems to me reasonable

Unfortunately this will happen. I was a member of two other forums that are no longer in existence.  This also happened there.

If you are spending your pins and what has now become excessive additional pins to just download one, the scan is poor quality and you do not know how to report it then you are out of those pins. If you do report them then your pins are credited back to you.

Change has to happen to keep the forum running smoothly. Bad scans removed for better quality ones. Of course now a lot of uploads are not worth spending my pins on. I also feel that a lot of designers are copying each other and changing a few elements and calling it their own.

I am hoping this one does not go away too like the others did. When it goes down for I guess upgrades I get so nervous. It is like I do not have enough already to last me a thousands of lifetimes.

So ungrateful.  You're basically telling long time users they've not been good enough for your high standards when they were sharing what they had.
