Things you need to know to make the shrug:
Materials
3 (4, 5, 7) x 50g balls 600 (800, 1000, 1400) yards Artesano alpaca 4 ply/fingering
5 (5.5, 6, 6) mm US 8 (9, 10, 10) needles
one 6 (6.5, 7, 7) mm needle for casting off
5 stitch markers
10 split ring markers or loops of yarn
tapestry needle for sewing up

Note that as the fabric is very stretchy, all measurements are approximate

Tension
20 (16, 12, 12) sts and 40 (32, 24, 24) rows to 4 ins over garter stitch slightly stretched lengthways.
