Credits are used to level up. Pins are the monetary unit used to purchase patterns.

The equation that determines your credits is:
Total Credits = (Number of replies × 0.1) + (Number of Threads × 0.26) + (Number of Digests × 5) + (Hours of Online Time × 2.6)
This means the more time you spend on the site, the more interactive you are on the site, the more threads you upload, the more digests you upload, and the more replies you make--> the more credits you earn.

You get Pin from uploading patterns that other members buy and download. You also get 10 pin for every reply (per minute) = You can make a reply every 26 seconds, but will only earn 10 pin for one of them in 1 minutes time. You can make Pin from the tasks every hour, and also once a week there is a Painting Fairy task that will earn you Pin.

Daily activities: Visit other member's profiles. Add friends and send them greetings. Comment on the pattern's posted, or other posts. Write your own interesting posts. Share a progress of your current project. Share photos of your completed projects. Share photos of your pets. Photos of your plants. Photos of your culinary dishes. Etc. Etc.

Patience and presence on the site. Be active and post stuff which is not already shared.
