Odette is a semi-fitted, straight-cut dress, slightly flared at the bottom. It features a detachable belt that closes with a buckle. There are bust darts at the front and shoulder darts at the back. The dress has a center back seam that ends in a hemline slit. The set-in sleeves are long and semi-fitted. The neckline is round and closes with a button and loop at the back. The dress is below mid-calf length.
Fabric Sugestions:
To sew this dress, choose dress-weight fabrics with the following properties:- medium-weight, pliable, breathable, soft, non-stretch or low-stretch;- the fiber content can include natural fibers (wool, silk, cotton, linen), artificial fibers (viscose), blends (wool + silk, wool + polyester, cotton + viscose, etc.), and synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane);- the following fabrics are recommended: dress-weight wool, crepe, dress-weight viscose, silk, artificial silk, satin, silk velvet.Attention! We do not recommend stretchy knit materials (jersey fabrics), heavyweight fabrics (suiting, denim), or lightweight sheer fabrics (organza, chiffon).The dress in the photos is made from artificial silk. The fabric is medium-weight, pliable, soft, without stretch. The fiber content is 100% polyester.
