Liberty Fabrics - Suzanne Campion - Somerset Garden EPP Quilt Pattern - Finished size 70˝ x 80 - free

Taking the precise symmetry of a formal garden and combining it with the classic Grandmother's Flower Garden EPP quilt pattern, I have created a rich and ornate pattern where every block is a story of its own and each leads to another discovery via the diamond pathway.
A series of hexagon gardens each contains fussycut flowers, while the central focus of this beautifully detailed quilt is a star of diamond blocks, leading to larger hexagon blocks; each block can be different, or you can repeat two or three of the designs.
I still use a needle case made by my own Grandma in the Grandmother’s Flower Garden pattern, and I have designed this pattern so you can create your own sampler heirloom based on a traditional pattern but full of your own unique character. It really is a project to take your time over, to enjoy the peaceful process of hand sewing, each stitch a labour of love to pass down the generations.

SKILL LEVEL: INTERMEDIATE
This pattern is suited for someone who has English paper piecing experience This pattern requires an intermediate knowledge of quilting techniques and terminology. The quilt and block diagrams portrayed are virtual images. The layout and look of your project may differ when using actual fabric.
