The flower dress is knitted across the body, the front piece and back piece knitted in one piece.
The pattern uses provisional cast on to avoid visible seams, but a basic cast on method can be used.
The neck opening and arm opening are formed along the way, in the right side of the piece. Flower stalks are knitted as you go using color 2.
The flowers are crocheted and eventually sewn on the dress. The sleeves are knitted in the round. The pattern includes instructions for both long and short sleeves. The dress can be knitted in Knitting for Olive’s Merino, Knitting for Olive’s Pure Silk or Knitting for Olive’s Cotton hint of Cashmere.
You can use leftover yarn for flowers and stalks.
