Email Verification and Gold Coins

Im new and read a thread that stated upon email verification you should get 2000 gold coins. Is this true and if so how long does it take to get your coins? Is it instatnt or does it take awhile? Thanks for any help in advance. :)

You get these 2000 coins with your birthday as a birthday present.
But you have to have your emailsettings right.
All email options must be marked with a v.
Otherwise you wont get your 2000 coins.
