Curly Hazelnut by Mia Rinde

Crazily twisting branches provide interest whatever the season, while summer’s large wide leaves and the hope of great clusters of hazelnuts are realized all year long in the details of this shawl.

Curly Hazelnut is a thin crescent shaped shawl with lace and cables on a reverse stockinette background. It requires 400-500 meters of fingering or DK weight yarn. The shawl is easily enlarged by adding additional repeats. The pattern is charted.

Pink shawl used 230g Madelinetosh Tosh DK in Pop Rocks 100% merino, 225 yd/206 m per 100g on 4.5 mm (US 7) needles.
Blocked size is 142 x 54 cm (56 x 21 inches). Gauge is 14 stitches per 10 cm stockinette.

Green shawl used 110g Plucky Knitter fingering weight in Father Goose 100% Merino, 400 yd/366m per 100g on 3.5 mm (US 4) needles.
Blocked size is 140 x 60 cm (55 x 24 inches). Gauge is 14 stitches per 10 cm stockinette.
