Seamwork x Colette - 1044 Elaine Trousers - Sizes 0-26

The Elaine pants are a staple wardrobe piece with polished details.

Version 1 fits like traditional trousers, featuring three front darts, slant pockets, side zipper, a notch at the back waist, and welt pockets with button tabs.

Version 2 has a bold silhouette with a culotte shape. The pant legs are constructed from two panels with a seam slit from the top of the knee to the hem. The pants hit at the waist, have slant pockets, close with a side zipper, and the back features a notch at the center waist.

Skill Level: Intermediate

Main Fabric: Lightweight to medium weight stretch woven trouser fabrics with at least 5% stretch, such as wool, chino, and suiting.
                                                                               

Lining Fabric: 1/3 yard (0.3 meters) of lightweight woven fabrics such as silk, cotton lawn, or polyester.
                                                                                                                                               
Supplies: All-purpose polyester thread, sewing machine needle, hand-sewing needle, 1 yard (0.9 meters) of lightweight fusible interfacing, 2 yards (1.8 meters) of 1/2" (12 mm) double fold bias tape, one 9" (23 cm) invisible zipper, one hook and eye, 2 3/8" buttons (Version 1 only).
