The Mabel socks are knitted cuff down with a simple and engaging ribbed texture. The undulating lines are created using only knit and purl stitches, in an intuitive pattern.
Yarn :
You will need about 400 m – 438 yds of fingering weight sock yarn. The sample was knit using Lana Grossa Meilenweit Seta (400 m – 437 yds / 100 g) in 18.
Needles :
2.25 mm (US 1) circular needles or DPNs
or size required to get gauge
Gauge :
32 sts x 40 rnds per 10 cm – 4” in textured pattern after blocking
Sizes :
The pattern is written for a 58 (62 / 66), (70 / 74 / 78) stitch count.
18 (19.5 / 20.5), (22 / 23 / 24.5) cm – 7 (7 ¾ / 8), (8 ¾ / 9 / 9 ¾)“ finished circumference.
Measure your foot at its widest point under the toes and choose a size with about 2.5 cm – 1” negative ease.
