Advice on using PinDIY for Newbies

Any tips you you wish you had known about PinDIY when you first started using the platform?

Starting here can be sooo confusing...

Welcome. It’s a fab site! I wish I had known about the ‘rate’ option. You can give up to 50 pins a day on posts and it doesn’t come out of your ‘cache’. 5pins per post is max but choose up to that and spread the love! (Just click the rate option under a post).

Hi, welcome here. I wish to know quicker how to get hourly bonus and about rating, tasks, red envelopes. Good luck with getting pins :)

how can I buy pins in order to make a purchase?

From what I gathered, here are a few options to get free pins:

- commenting gets you 10 points for each comment
- you get 10 points for each daily log-in
- you can do tasks every hour and get free points (to get there you click your user name, then click My Center at the top and choose Tasks)

I think you get this option with Level 1?

What are Red Envelopes and what are they for? I haven't seen (?) them, I think

People can gift free pins to others by setting up a red envelope.  If you click on someone's profile who has this set up, there will be a red envelope in the top right corner of the page.  You click on the red envelope and you will be given a set number of pins.
