I use fiberfill also. I think its difficult to work with. I need something easier and denser I think.:)

I use polyester stuffing, or wool if its wool toy and Ive just tied kapok which is nice but kinda hard to handle.

Where I live, fiberfill costs more than discount store cushions. One cushion can stuff multiple child-sized soft toys.
