Day one of my first HAE attempt.  Started to grid it out but I got irritated after the second row....  Never gridded out anything before and I'm going to free hand this one too!

Oh, I never grid the fabric. I prefer to mark the pattern with an orange marker.
Which fabric do you use?

I am using 16 ct aida since I work without a hoop or frame. I never stitched on linen  Details Reply Post time 2013-4-24 06:42

Fabulous progress for only two days!   I think trying a storykeep as a first attempt at a HAED is a great idea.   You will love the detail!

That was my idea too. Only 80 stitches wide. Only 250 stitches long. Can only work on it on weekends with my job so I spend a lot of time stitching when I can.  Details Reply Post time 2013-4-24 07:32
