Now work
1.  Purl the nextstitch on the bottom needle. Slid the stitch off the needle [this is the first stitchon the bottom needle. So which means you are working this stitch twice in away.]
2. Knit the next stitch on the bottom needle. Pull yarnthrew. Keep stitch on the needle.
3. Knit the stitch on the top needle. Pull the yarn threw. Takethe stitch off the needle. [Again this is the first stitch that you worked inthe set up row]
4. Purl the next stitch on the top needle. Pull the yarnthrew. Keep the stitch on the needle.

Continue these 4 rows until all stitches are worked.
Knit on the bottom slip the stitch off. Purl on the bottomkeep the stitch on the needle. Knit on the top slip the stitch off. Purl on thetop leave the stitch on. Remember to pull through the working yarn after eachstitch worked.
Tug gently every few stitches worked. So that the stitches are even and smooth.

When finishing you don’t finish with step 4 but step 1.
Work until you have 1 stitch left on each needle. Tug work gentlyso stitches are together. It should look smooth and even.
The last stitch on the top needle should have working yarngoing through it. So slip it off.
Purl the last stitch on the bottom needle. Slip off theneedle

I'm going to have to try this. I hate grafting, so anything that will make it easier is a go for me.        Thanks for posting!

Thank you so much for taking the time to share this technique! I don't mind sewing kitchener stitch, but it's hard to control the tension and have the sewn stitches look the same as the surrounding knit stitches. This looks like it produces a superior result!

This is using the same yarn movement but using knitting needle instead of sewing needle. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for this.  I don't like kitchener sewing, so this might make me like it instead.

I really love this technique, it's my favourite, especially when I must "sew" sock's toe.
