This is a center-out square scarf worked in the round in alternating bands of stockinette stitch and star stitch. It can be worn as a shawl or handkerchief-style folded on the diagonal. The pattern is customizable and can be made smaller or larger to taste. This pattern will work well in a large range of fibers and colors. Square scarves are a personal favorite of mine because of their versatility. I wear mine folded diagonally as a scarf, then use it as a blanket or shawl when I get cold in the office. Skill level: this is a great project for beginning and more adventurous knitters alike.
