Pattern includes both charts and written instructions.

Yarn Requirements
Fingering weight merino fine or similar in three of your favorite solid or semisolid colorways (200 yards each). This should give you enough yarn to make both a swatch and the shawlette.

Color Selection
Have fun mixing and matching yarns with different hues, values and saturation. For best results, I recommend that color A be lighter in value than colors B and C. Otherwise the sky’s the limit when it comes to your choice of hues and saturation. Whether you go bold, subtle or tonal, pick a combination that makes you smile!

Needles & Notions
US 5 (3.75mm) needles (or size needed to obtain gauge). Interchangeable needles are recommended so that you can increase cord length as you progress from the 4-stitch cast on to the 154-stitch bind off row (~30”).

Gauge in stockinette stitch
Before blocking: 7 sts x 9 rows = 1”  / After blocking: 6 sts x 8 rows = 1”

Finished Measurements
Will vary depending on yarn weight and type, gauge, and blocking. Test knits ranged from 68” to 77” in length and 12.5” to 17.5” in width. A handy chart of complete test knit measurements is included in the pattern.
