Variegated thread for a background

This photo is for @chickenlady88 as an example: One simple object in the foreground and multicolor thread as background wallpaper to make the simple object on the foreground stand out. I did the background in Anchor multicolour 1335 + finished every cross stitch immediately. The bear was a cross stitch card from a magazine... I think it was Cross Stitcher some 10 years ago. Mary Hickmott did some very good articles/masterclass on the subject of using multicolour thread in her magazines. Was it called New Stitches?
