The construction method used for this pullover is a mix between my revised method of SusieM’s contiguous and Barbara Walker’s simultaneously knit top-down set-in sleeves. These shoulders are called “Französische Schultern” (French shoulders) in German and from my research, they are called “Full Fashioned Shoulders” in English.
Pattern includes a step-by-step photo tutorial as to how to knit theses shoulders.
In addition, another exciting feature this pullover has, is that the finish is in stockinette stitch that does NOT roll - using the “revised stockinette finish” at the bottom of the body and sleeves! The pattern includes an instructional video on how to knit this technique.
This pullover is very simple to knit, especially since there is a lot of stockinette knit in the round. After the waist shaping, this pullover features a simple peplum that is knit using larger sized needles and provides a really flattering fit!
