Other than using crochet for borders around knitted projects, I'd like to hear of any other knitting/crochet combinations.

For example, I've used crochet to "embroider" in a manner of speaking, on a knitted ground, to make embellished shawls.  The attached is a photo of a shawl I designed and made for my late mother-in-law years ago.

Well, thanks so much for the compliment.  I think that everyone has a well of creativity within.  Each person's is unique and each well's contents are sort of like something waiting to be discovered! And the depth of each person's well is unknown, so essentially (and potentially) might stretch to infinity with ideas and inspirations, just there waiting!

My parents were both artists so I grew up poised to discover my own creativity because it was and is always in my awareness.  Of course sometimes that makes me too much of a dreamer, but I encourage others to find their own well.  It is just amazing and makes each day at least a little bit exciting.

Thanks for responding to my post and may you continue to enjoy your own creative journey, wherever it takes you!

It's beautiful!  I don't have a creative bone in my body so all I can do is follow directions.  I would never think to add embellishments in crochet to my work.  I rarely deviate from a pattern yet others in my knitting guild (such as yourself) are wonderful at taking a pattern and making it truly their own.  Good job!

Oh wow that's cool!

Thank you!  It is a very fun way to "paint" on a canvas of knitted fabric.  I also used this for many other shawl designs and some reticule-style purse designs, too.
