Very cute idea, I had saved old yarn bits for the bird's nests, but thread would work as well.  I have seen several little containers with floss bits and now am going to start filling a jar or something.  Last project would have filled a whole jar....;P

I have a Mason jar where I keep mine. When I'm done with a project I leave them out for the birds as well.  :)

I use the longer pieces and toss out the rest, but I didn't think about letting the birds use them for their nests. Good idea.
