I keep mine in a jam jar. Im thinking of designing a stitched band to go around it. I love the way the colors all blend in to a rainbow.

I have an altoids tin in my stitching box that I leave open when I am sewing. When I snip a thread, I put the thread in there and the scissors down next to it. I started doing that so that I wouldnt have lots of little pieces of thread all over the place needing to be vacuumed up. Now I love the little nest that is formed in the tin.

Many years ago I either saw or read something where the main character (totally OCD) had a drawer labelled "pieces of string too small to use." I always thought Id like to be so organised I could do that. I guess alot of people here are already.

Interesting, I collect mine in order to keep them off the floor and away from the "zoo" (dog and three cats) String and floss can cause severe damage to their systems if swallowed and they are long.
