Some folks on other forums use DMC for the most part but like Anchor Black (403) since it seems to cover better than DMC. I have some Anchor black to try in my next project to see how I like it. 123stitch has Anchor if you ever order from them.

I ordered some Anchor with some over-dyes to try on a few smaller projects. I have a lot of DMC from years ago, so I will always use that to a degree. Please let me know what you think of the Anchor Black (403)

Ive always found DMC black to be a bit lacking in color.

Hi, what exactly are over-dyed threads?? I havent seen much on it except that its hand dyed???

i use dmc because it is widely available, i do not use special threads because i have to order online and cant afford it :(

It looks like many of them in my experience have a richer color, I think however the colors may vary more than DMC or Anchor?

I understand and have been there too. I quit smoking and soda with caffeine so that I can spend that money on XS :)
