Most of my stash is DMC as my mum always uses them. However, recently, I bought a kit which came with Anchor threads and I think they were better - less propensity to knotting and twisting. So I think in future Ill be buying Anchor when I dont already have the DMC version - I think I will file them under the DMC number tough, so I dont have to run two systems at the same time! Luckily, in the UK, Anchor is as easy to buy as DMC.

I prefer DMC, the shades are nicer. Well at least they look nicer to me ;)

		I always use only dmc.

I always use DMC but am about to try Vadlani and Weeks Dye have used Vikki Claytons hand dyed fibres (liked them a lot) but now use The silk mill floss when I want to upgrade from dmc. :)

I use always for more then 20 years DMC notting else for me.

Sadly, DMC seems to have a monopoly on stranded cotton/floss. I understand that the large colour selection is appealing to designers. However, I have found that Anchor thread is just nicer to work with and doesnt tangle or knot the way DMC thread does. It also seems to lay nicer for me. Wish it was more widely used and available.

DMC. Anchor floss we do not have so much range..

I use Sullivans thread as its under half the cost to DMC

I find Anchor a little floccose, and I have two kits with babys.
I bought them because the remembered me at my childhood, but when I order the kits I didnt know that the thread was Anchor.

I prefer DMC because its much cheaper lol
and of course a lot charts based on the colors of DMC
