AW, thank you. hes not stuffed yet so you cant see the shape of him. Hes been lying on my desk for a few weeks now, poor thing. I must finish him and I think the CAL has given me a buzz to get his head finished!!
Advice?.....dont be put off if your african flowers are wavy, stuffing will sort it out.
I prefer the join as you go, read the instructions/and pattern carefully and thoroughly. It can be fiddly though.
Remember the hippo is stuffed so you will need to crochet tight to avoid holes
Here is my hippo in progress. I used regia sock yarn and cream for rounds 4 and 5

@quietone dont be too nervous! We are going to work through this together! Im a little nervous to start this one...its a very big project and Ive never done anything like this. But we have a great support team here and quite a few people have already completed this design! Not to mention the pattern itself has many great tips and advice to complete this and we will! :D
