I bought one on Ebay from a seller in the UK - was very cheap. To be honest I forget to use it half the time and Im so used to slotting the needle into the fabric when Im not using it that when I actually do use the needle minder I forget Ive put the needle on it and spend half an hour looking for it!!

Yes, and i make my own! Here are some of them

I have made my one Needle minder I bought two buttons and Some heavy Magnets and strong glu and you have your handmade needle minder.

Never, I just pin it on the fabric:P

A photo of my 4 favourite needle minders. The fox is current favourite for small to mid size hand held projects, because it is light and has a low profile. The teapot is also good for these projects and is currently the oldest of my needle minders (over 20 years old). The thistle is too heavy to use unless the project is on a frame but it also does a great job holding the pattern. The sheep is probably my favourite since the wool lets you dig the needle in as well for extra security.

I just use a magnetic strip on my magnetic board thats holding the chart.

I use a small unicorn that I love. I havent lost a needle since I started using it and would encourage everybody to consider using them.
