I dont use needle minders but I have strong magntets on my fabric. And a magnet on the lid of the jar into which I throw rest of threads. Its really usefull! Finally I dont lose my needels :)

Hi, I saw this thread. Ive just recently picked up cross stitching again and I was happily surprised when I discovered needle minders. I have bought 2 on Etsy and the seller send me an extra one as a gift. So nice of her :) I wil try to upload a picture of them if thats possible.

I use needle minders and like them for keeping track of my needles. I have used decorative ones and also plain neodymium (rare earth) magnets I purchased fairly cheaply online. The decorative ones are prettier but the plain magnets are cheaper and work just as well. If I get bored some day I may try gluing buttons or charms to the neodymium magnets to pretty them up.

i prefer small ones and put them up at the top of my hoop to keep my thread from getting caught.if the magnets are very powerful, sometimes my scissors get stuck to it on the back!

I just use a magnetic strip on my magnetic board thats holding the chart.
Thank you for sharing such a wonderful idea!

I stitch in hand, so do not use needle minders as they pull on the fabric. I do keep a magnet on my lamp, to hold my needle.
