Can someone tell me what I did wrong here (photo)?

I make this mistake every now and again (see photo) usually by the time I notice it Ive gone several rows. Ive tried fixing it as you would a drop stitch(dropping the stitches down to the affected row then picking them back up) which obviously it doesnt work or I wouldnt be asking lol. Its more noticeable on the purl side (photo) ob the the knit side the stitches appear slightly larger than the rest.

Can someone tell me what Ive done wrong and how to fix it?

Its your tension - youve slackened your tension at least 4 stitches before that stitch and at least 2 afterwards. An even tension does come with practice.............:lol Try doing what Sebnem suggests.... washing and blocking a garment does even out a lot of minor errors...........:)

When I mess up the tension like this I usually turn my work so that the right side is facing upwards and I stick my needle into the V shape of the knit stitch that is to the left of that one and I stretch it a little bit and then I do the same with the one that is to the right. This helps redistribute the tension. Washing and blocking also helps

Dont worry about it, as soon as you have right amount of stitches and rows. After youve blocked the garment most probably it will be gone. If it still bothers you, take a blunt needle gently pull the stitches near the biggest one. That way you can even the stitch tension.

If you are sure you didnt missed stitch when you dropped and re-picked them for fixing purpose, it is a tension problem. As I see from the photo garter ridge count is correct so I believe you dont have missing stitch issue.

I think you are going the wrong way when you picked it up. You can see one line more the right way. I hope you understand it.

Just stick another needle in there and try to pick the stitch up (stretch it a ltitle), its the tension.

Maybe you did the stitch in the outer strand, or a mix with too much tension.
