Dimensions three pieces.

This are two pieces I have done with backstitches and straight stitches.
Im have done with the carrige but I dont understand why I must do backstitches with black threads on black cross-stitches.
Do you understand why I dont, but its in the information, so I do it brave, really silly.:)
The ladys are done, the eyes at last french knot.
I hope you can see it a little bit, Im sorry not so very clear.
