Dimensions three pieces.

This are two pieces I have done with backstitches and straight stitches.
I'm have done with the carrige but I don't understand why I must do backstitches with black threads on black cross-stitches.
Do you understand why I don't, but it's in the information, so I do it brave, really silly.:)
The lady's are done, the eyes at last french knot.
I hope you can see it a little bit, I'm sorry not so very clear.

Back stitch houses and in the threes straight stitches

Lady's in carrige are done with backstitches in light and dark brown.

They are beautiful! Some times I use in the dark stitches the backstitches in dark, it make the difference in the all embroidery. Could you put a complete photo?
