I`l start my first HAE on 25ct 1 ovr 1 and I´ll use sharp needles.
I know they must very small but the Needle size numbers I dont understand :(
Can you tell me what the right number for this?

Thanks soooo much!!!

For aida 18 ct, 22ct I use mostly blunt needles But when I stitch on 28ct, 32ct linen or evenweave I only use the pointed ones. I use a floor stand and never stick myself. :)

@talisa
The larger the number, the smaller the needle.

blunt needles for cross stitch, make sure you use the right size needle for the hole count and sharps for back stitch as they will slip through the middle of a cross with ease :)

I use only blunt needles, but agree to use sharp for 1/2 stitches. It makes a nicer stitch.

I would definitely suggest you switch to blunt needles.They will go in between the linen threads better. Pointed sharp needles will split the linen threads - and poke your fingers! Save those sharp needles for your sewing & quilting. :)

I too only use blunt needles for cross stitch on any type of fabric.
