Im a left handed crocheter. I hold the hook in my left, yarn in the right. I dont have trouble following patterns as long as i remember two things: 1 - amigurumi patterns need to turned inside out and 2 most other patterns are backwards. Just remember which side is the right stitch. Hope that helps :)

I am a lefty too. I knit right handed and crochet left. I have found a lot of the videos do both ways (the crochet crowd) on you tube. Otherwise I just reverse it.

You should be find crocheting left handed. It is a matter of remembering what is the front and what is the back when you do.On something like a blanket or scarf, it wont make any difference.By the time you are working on a garment if you choose to so do, youll have figured it out.   I have taught several left handers to crochet and also to knit. All of the lefties knit right handed, and it is about 50/50 of the lefties who crochet lefty and crochet righty.   All you need is the desire to do it, and youre golden. :)
