bobbins in many boxes, winding isnt so bad, I find it quite relaxing, you can watch a film while you do it and definitely invest a couple of pounds (sterling/uk money) on a bobbin winder, your winding will be neater so the bobbins will all be of similar size and will fit neatly into boxes. They even make a special box to put them in or you can just find any container of the right depth to stash them in :)

i use bobbins, but keep the storage out of the light. after a while it might discollor...
