Tips to stitch on dark fabric
Does any one have easy tips to stitch on dark fabric to share just to make stitching easy and quick... Best tips. Use a 14 count aida fabric, place fabric in a hoop, and work over a light box. It makes the holes easy to see and prevents eye strain. I love the look of brighter color on the dark fabric it makes it pop I always use a light, at the brightest setting I have behind the fabric (and maybe in front if it's a neck light). I also only use 11 or 14 ct as that's as small as I can go and see the holes lol Put something light underneath, a light source or a white fabric. Try to stitch in good lighting conditions too, and let your eyes rest often. I have two kits I haven't touched because of the black aida.I'm going to use these tips. For really good coverage if I need to use white on 14ct or 16ct, I use 3 strands I always use a special light under fabric Мне белая бумага и мыло не помогли(( Thank you, this is what you need i'm here to learn as well. Thanks for the info! Good luck.. I tried it once but gave up... To hard for me.... I have never stitch on dark fabric, Whenever I stitch on black fabric, I always have a sheet of white paper on my lap.It makes a big difference. It is easier to see the holes in the fabric.
Also, I do not stitch on black at night. many thanks everyone for replying back, I am trying to use a light under the stitching although it is helpful I have to bend a lot ...ahhh!! allthat we do for stitching... very important to railroad so that you get good coverage with your floss. The best tip for me is using a light under the fabric,,, I know is quite hard but keep going!! Usually risults worth every effort!!! Good work Sorry, I can't help you White material underneath it on your lap - or a lightbox type light underneath it.
