Poppy seed sourdough
Sourdough in progress, spelt flour and poppy seed. Im going to split it in two and bake two loaves tomorrow Yum! That looks so good! Ohh this is so awesome! I have been wanting to start a sourdough starter for so long. Is it any different when using spelt flour? Love the look of the poppy seeds :) Very nice ! static/image/common/user_online.gif ValiantLuna static/image/common/clock.gif 2023-7-8 00:22

Thanks, it is not 100% spelt flour I also used some high grade white flour. I only use the white flour to feed the starter. If you have a base recipe you can alter the proportions of flours as you like, I sometimes use some rye flour or wholemeal flour too. But some flours will require more water or more starter, if I use wholemeal I normally add more starter because it doesnt rise as well. static/image/common/user_online.gif yerita static/image/common/clock.gif 2023-7-8 00:57
