Starting off Big

Hot 1Viewed 713 times2013-5-19 07:22 |Personal category:HAED| Cross Stitch, HAED, Josephine Wall, Daughter of the Deep, Lugana

Who knows what was on my mind when I decided to purchase a HAED pattern.  I just saw it and thought "I can do that."  I think I should mention that I haven't finished a single cross stitch piece to date and only started cross stitching back in September right before my son was born.  I've been working on his birth record for more than 9 months now and it still isn't complete.  I started Dimensions "Baby's Friends Birth Record Counted Cross-Stitch Kit" and then recently jumped into Josephine Walls Daughter of the Deep.  To make it easier  I chose the mini.  I must be off my rocker??  That being said, it's actually going pretty well.  I feel as if I am behind because I wanted to complete it in about a year and a half and want to finish a page in about a month and a half and feel like I'm not on track to meet my goal this month.  Oh well.  I am actually surprised that I enjoy working on evenweave.  I am working on 25ct lugana evenweave for the HAED and it is going well.  I think, however, that I will be purchasing a Q-Snap frame because I'm afraid what my hoop will do to the stitches as I move along.  I plan on taking pictures once a month to track my progress and keep myself motivated.

You aren't nuts, I kind of did the same thing.  I think I did start with maybe 1 or 2 small ornaments that I never really finished, then jumped right into a beautiful wolf, 6 fat men, etc.  I didn't make the jump to evenweaves as well though.  I can do it for smaller projects but not larger :)  I now have 6 pieces in rotation!

I feel as if I may suffer from perpetual starter syndrome    as I just started YET another piece.  A beautiful Quaker sampler.

I have 5 or 6 in rotation at the moment.  Each one gets a week.  It used to be 3.  I just keep adding :)  It's normal, welcome to the world of ADDICTION!!  LOL.
