Thank you so much for your response!  I am going to order my qsnap today. :)
I do stitch at a desk, but my current hoop is 8" and I like that size.  So Im going to get an 8" with a 3" extension to also try the 11" size.  And if I like that 11" and dont mind it bigger, I could always order an 11" in the future.

I do the same with my Q snaps, I have all different extensions & sizes & can fit them to what I want to work on, when I get into larger projects I just make a bigger frame with them & use my floor stand to hold it to make it easier.  hugs:):)

mine 8x8 is great for holding in my hand and stitch with the other hand. Any larger will go in a stand because it will be too heavy

I like my 11 by 11 size, its comfortable to hold and most designs fit in it
