Does anyone give out ratings anymore?   I just dont see it.  It doesnt cost the person anything to give out a rating so why not give them?

I do! Although, my motives are not so much as to rate the pattern, but to have a quick and easy reminder for myself if I have already downloaded that particular pattern!
I have come across a few that I almost purchased again, but noticed that I had already downloaded and rated it.

Ive been rating with the free coins you get each day. But when I see people with a lot of coins I tend to not rate them and give the coins to someone who needs them. I think most people are doing it that way. They may like what you posted but if they see youve got 310K like you do, sundrop016, they will pass yours over no matter how nice it is IMHO.

I can not rate a pattern. It says I do not have permission. I guess when I get to that next level I maybe able to rate.

By the way, I have made comments, added new posts but do not see that I will make it to the next level anytime soon. I stop downloading patterns thinking I need the coins to move up to level one. Any advice?

wow, that really helps. I have made a couple of posts but not many, just been concentrating on getting coins. Thank you so much!

I rate every day until the coins run out. sundrop016 I agree its supposed to mean you appreciate someones work not the amount of coins they have but I see more people rating those with the least amount of coins. I hope my first comment didnt offend you, certainly didnt mean it that way.People are not rating Pindiy posts.
Maybe its cause new folks who join dont realize they can rate for free until those coins run out,
I didnt know until I posted a question in My Problem Forum asking about why the rules in the Knitting Diary said it was free to rate but none of the other Diaries said it. Bleu explained it to me then I started rating.
