Could someone please explain ...

Im really sorry if this is already posted somewhere but I have tried to find the answer without success, so if anyone could please explain for a newbie what the difference is between the favorite, rate, share, & like options on posts?

I also want to say a Huge Thank-You to everyone who shares their patterns and photos of finished/work in progress here as its very inspirational and exciting to see and I look forward to getting more involved as my understanding of how things work continues to grow.

I like that I can thank people with free coins, but I guess Im only allowed to give 1 at a time until I reach a higher level.

Hi & Welcome to the site.  Here is the difference:
favorite is where you would post the patterns you think you want or your waiting to get enough coins to purchase, its a holding box.
rate is when you look at someone elses project and give them free gold coins for their work.  It doesnt cost you anything an you can only give points corresponding to the level you are on.
share is when you post pics of your work.
like is when your telling someone that you like their work
