Do you prefer to purchase or make your/your familys snacks?

I am wanting to start making a lot more of my familys snacks and it got me wondering what others do too? What snacks do you make? Do you have a dehydrator to make dried fruits etc?

I think the key point i hows healthy you want it to be? when you make your family snacks, you get to control the amount of sugar, salt and fat and all the nasty bits that a manufacturer might add just to make it taste better. DIY allows you to reduce and use all the good stuff (that manufacturers wont use cos it increases costs) but it wouldnt be an issue for households. I used to make banana oat cookies for myself during exams. no flour, no sugar, just banana and oats. werent really good, but i didnt feel like i was eating more empty carbs that i ought to. and it was mainly high in fibre

I buy them, making to much work and it taste good. :)
Fruit always fresh, if not to buy frozen supermarket Germany, the best frozxen fruit you can buy.
By the way my favorite fruit is Papaya with a green lemon and healthy. :)
If I eat things without sugar, if I get sugar for a day I get a migraine, if I dont use sugar no problems.

I have a dehydrator. I dont use it much but it is very nice to dry herbs, make beef jerky or even kale chips. Dried strawberries are very good too. I have a lot of food allergies so it is safest to make my own food all of the time.

Buy, usually. I used to cook/bake a lot but I have a progressive autoimmune disease that has really been limiting me recently. As far as snacks go, we love hummus. Its great with pita or fresh veggies (I like bell pepper). Its also easy to make if youd rather not buy it.
