Hello there
I am busy knitting Small Boy in the Blue Hat by Tetyana Korobkova and no matter what I do I cannot get the one arm to match the other, going to try for the 4th time now. Wish me luck

Have you tried blocking it? Blocking can fix a lot of gauge issues. You can block it while its still on the needles.

I find that knitting at a tighter gauge (either smaller needles or thicker yarn) tends to give me more consistency. Animal fibers are easier to get good results than synthetic. Switching from bamboo to metal or vice versa might help too. Even changing to a different brand of needles makes a difference sometimes. I once knitted two identical scarves, one with cheap needles and the other with a better brand, both bamboo, and the difference was very obvious.

Good luck!
