Buy Attachments??

Hey, Im relatively new, still trying to find my way on the forum.

Ive noticed, that sometimes a pattern costs 30 golds, sometimes 50, and sometimes both (meaning 80 gold total). I seem to be unable to purchase the pattern unless I accept to "buy arrachments", and then nothing happens. I have to click on the buy pattern again, and so it costs me an extra 30 gold, so 80 gold total, and I dont even get any attachments, by the way.

Could someone please shine a light on this? Whats going on? What and where are those attachments? Do I need them for the pattern, and if yes, where did they go?

Also, could someone please explain to me the cost of these patterns, because I find it very bewildering. :(

You click on the attachment twice to download.  Each attachment has a cost of 30 coins and goes to the site. This is universal.  
The additional coin amount goes to the member who uploaded the pattern.  This varies and not all members put an additional charge on their uploaded attachments.

I was starting to feel I did something wrong because I didnt get any attachments. Thought maybe I missed a part of the pattern!

I paid 50 coins for the attachments, does that mean I need to pay 30 more to get the pattern? Because I cannot download it, i get an error
